BIO

Logan Anderson is a musician and producer aiming to create music for film and television. An emphasis on rhythm, piano, guitar, and vocal harmony is threaded throughout his work. Logan's portfolio provides a panorama of musical scenes ranging from toe-tapping nuances of indie rock to soaring melodies fitting of epic adventures.

In 2016 Logan wrote music for an on-stage adaptation of Pride & Prejudice, produced by Enso Theatre Ensemble in Portland, OR. And in 2017, he supplied the majority of the music for indie filmmaker Tanner Cropper's debut documentary Journey of the Pear in Ashland, OR. The film premiered at the Varsity Theater in downtown Ashland on August 19, 2019 for a private showing, and is currently under revision before wider distribution.

Logan's earliest compositions were made on a Yamaha keyboard in 8th grade. With only stock instruments available, he came to realize he was restricted by the limited prescribed options. This motivated him to learn or even make the instruments himself in order to achieve the organic quality he was after. “I soon discovered that experimenting and creating my own sounds allowed me to produce the dynamic energy I desired in a song.”

"I write for the sake of art," says Logan. "When I have an idea for a song I let it go where it needs to go—I don’t worry about forcing it to sound a certain way according to what I’ve done before.”

This philosophy is reflected on Logan’s two self-released albums, Nomad, the debut effort in 2014 that offered the first glimpse into his creativity and experimentation, and The Company, which displays a matured production, aided by a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015. In early 2022, Logan released his 8-song album Running Hugs, a more focused Indie Rock album which tells a reverse story of the personal struggles and achievements experienced by everyday people.

Logan has also released two albums and a single for the Oregon-based group Swinging Hippys In Time, a collaboration between Dave Hart (founder, writer) and Logan Anderson (production, additional writing).

Logan currently lives in Colorado Springs and is working on the release of a Pop/Rock EP called "Rainbow Lights". This dark and refined album features an increased use of synths, as well as effective percussion and vocal performances.

Logan's releases can be found on iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, and other mainstream music platforms.
